At Bluemont, we believe great hospitality doesn’t happen by accident—it’s built through leadership, connection, and a shared commitment to serving others well.

Each year, our General Manager Retreat is an opportunity to step away from the day-to-day and invest in the people who bring that commitment to life. This year’s theme, Heroes of Hospitality, transformed our annual gathering into something more than a retreat—it became an experience.

Building a World Around What Matters Most

From the moment attendees arrived, they stepped into a fully immersive environment designed to reflect the qualities we value most in our leaders: being Brave, Bold, and Fast in how we serve our teams and our guests.

Through themed sessions, interactive moments, and team-based experiences, General Managers were encouraged to think differently about their role—not just as operators, but as leaders who shape culture, drive performance, and create meaningful guest experiences every day.

The “Houses of the Realm” concept brought a sense of connection and friendly competition, allowing leaders from across districts to collaborate, build relationships, and learn from one another in new ways. It wasn’t just about earning points—it was about building pride, camaraderie, and a shared identity across Bluemont.

Leadership That Translates Back to the Restaurant

While the environment was immersive, the focus remained practical.

Breakout sessions and group discussions centered on real challenges and real opportunities—from developing teams and improving operations to driving results in a competitive landscape. Leaders left with tangible ideas, clearer direction, and renewed confidence in how to lead effectively in their restaurants.

The goal is always the same: ensure that what happens at the retreat doesn’t stay there—but shows up in stronger teams, better guest experiences, and more consistent execution across every location.

Celebrating the People Behind the Work

A defining part of the retreat each year is recognition.

From RISE Awards to Restaurant of Excellence honors, we took time to celebrate the leaders and teams who consistently go above and beyond. These moments aren’t just about recognition—they reinforce what great looks like at Bluemont and inspire others to reach that same standard.

More Than a Theme

While “Heroes of Hospitality” created a memorable backdrop, the heart of the retreat was always the same: investing in people.

It’s about equipping our leaders with the tools they need, strengthening the relationships that support them, and reminding each General Manager of the impact they have—not just on their teams, but on every guest they serve.

When our leaders grow, our business grows. And more importantly, our ability to serve our communities with care and excellence grows with it
