One of the most rewarding ways we do this is through the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation, which helps fund programs that bring comfort and happiness to children facing medical challenges. Today, we’re thrilled to introduce Velour, a Canine Companions-certified facility dog, who has joined the Canine Clinicians program at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt!
Meet Velour—A Special Source of Comfort
Velour, affectionately known as Vee Vee, is the newest four-legged team member bringing love, support, and a little extra joy to patients and their families. Hospital facility dogs like Velour are specially trained to provide therapeutic support in medical settings, helping to ease anxiety, lower stress levels, and bring smiles to those going through tough times.
She joins Squid, another incredible facility dog at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital, in offering companionship and emotional support to children in need. These dogs don’t just brighten days—they change lives.

Bringing Velour to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital was made possible through a partnership between the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation, Kacey Musgraves, and Amazon. Through the generosity of our guests and the dedication of our teams, we’re able to support programs like this that have a direct and meaningful impact on the communities we serve.
Velour is one of 49 hospital facility dogs placed in children’s hospitals across the country, a testament to the power of giving back. Every iced coffee purchased, every guest donation, and every fundraiser we hold contributes to initiatives like this—proving that small acts of kindness add up to something much bigger.
